Sophia Dashing is an up-and-coming Pop singer, songwriter, and dancer born in Atlanta, GA. Sophia is set to release her brand new single alongside Manda Malina, “rasindrops (on your pillow)” on September 27th, 2024. A sultry, moody track that marries the emotional depth of contemporary R&B with the infectious grooves of 2000s and modern pop.

Sophia Dashing is an up-and-coming pop singer, songwriter, and dancer born in Atlanta, GA. Songwriting is something that Sophia Dashing simply could not live without. Dancing professionally since age eight, signed to performing arts agencies in Atlanta, dancing on national TV shows and singing in local choirs from age six. The stage has always been something that is more than enjoyable for the Atlanta-native artist. Songwriting has been a tool of expressiveness for Dashing since adolescence and is something she's held closely, to unleash and express the deepest parts of her inner workings and life experiences. 

Moving to Paris, France at the age of Eighteen to discover and study fashion design and the arts, Covid-19 struck and sent Dashing back, which led to the discovery of starting and focusing on her talents in her music career. Feeling a tug and urge from the universe to dive back into what made her happiest as a child, Sophia knew she had to unleash and explore undiscovered heights with songwriting and the creative visions that came with writing a new song every single day. 

Garnering over 1,000,000+ streams across streaming platforms. In the Spring of 2022, 1 year into her career as an independent artist, Sophia won “Best Singer-Songwriter” in Atlanta, GA for Jezebel Magazine's print issue. Since then, Sophia has been featured in over 60+ press and print magazine articles featuring her discography and single releases. Sophia Dashing debuted her first official performance as an independent artist October 8, 2022 at Atlanta Pride in Piedmont Park amongst artists like Flo-Rida and Betty Who. 

In 2024, Sophia Dashing found herself booking shows across the South-East, doing a mini-tour in Nashville, TN across different venues, and finishing off the Spring 2024 tour run by performing at the Human Rights Campaign Gala at The Hyatt Regency in Downtown Atlanta with-attendance of 1,000+ guests for a sit down charity dinner. Sophia continues to write and release music that is interpersonal to her life and experiences and has upcoming releases in the Fall & Winter of 2024.

Sophia has described a love for Pop-Culture, bringing in inspiration from trailblazing artists like Britney Spears, Madonna, Janet Jackson, JoJo, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift’s songwriting, for her all-around pop sound, and performing qualities. Sophia describes her sound as Pop, with R&B influences, with a strong love for both genres.
